• Contribute to the ecosystem strategic business plan and identify key stakeholders • Provide clinical, scientific, and health economic information related to CNS disease states and appropriate utilization of approved Otsuka products • Engage key influencers, local practice leaders, healthcare providers, and patient groups within the ecosystem • Contribute to customization of regional business strategy and address customers' medical and educational requirements • Cover multiple CNS products and participate in clinical and scientific discussions affecting patient care • Contribute a clinical and scientific perspective to local execution plans and coordinate field activities • Build and cultivate relationships with scientific and medical customers and organizations across the territory • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem and align with Otsuka's patient-centric strategy • Provide evidence-based information on the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Otsuka and its products • Build internal working relationships across the matrix team and execute local medical strategies • Disseminate disease-state and healthcare-landscape information to field customers • Deliver clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers • Serve on Otsuka's speaker bureau as needed • Collect and submit medical insights informing decision-making and evidence-generation priorities • Assist with clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and medical collaborations • Mentor peers and new hires • Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence
• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or a Master's degree with equivalent psychiatry or CNS clinical experience • Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience • Understanding of the interconnectivity of health systems and overall delivery of patient care • Experience working with healthcare professionals and other decision makers • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the industry, Otsuka's business model and value proposition, key competitors, and marketplace factors/dynamics • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong conflict resolution skills • Ability to lead others and project teams strategically • Ability to summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives concisely and effectively • Strong understanding of industry legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation • Demonstrated behaviors aligned with Otsuka Corporate Brand: Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility • Business travel by air or car, up to 70% of time depending upon territory size • Preferred living location is a key city in the territory
