• Personally engage healthcare providers through in-person, virtual, and digital tools • Provide expertise on products and approved conditions, including complex on-label information • Conduct proactive outreach on product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance • Direct customers to Customer Service Specialists and other colleagues as needed • Ensure customer requests are met and solicit feedback on engagement quality • Facilitate speaker programs • Organize local provider groups to discuss experiences and outcomes with local and regional leaders • Elevate opportunities, customer feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead • Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem colleagues • Adjust targeting and call-point plans compliantly • Use customer insights to inform local strategy and business goals • Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures • Deliver balanced office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references • Build relationships with office and practice personnel while focusing conversations on patient health
• At least one of the following: 2+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience; 3+ years of B2B or equivalent outside sales experience; or 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience • Less experience may be considered for employees who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program • Ability to communicate complex clinical information and translate scientific data into clear, practical value propositions • Strong stakeholder influence skills • Commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance • Ability to assimilate and communicate complex clinical and product information • Must reside within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales territory • Ability to use competitive data and business reports for territory analysis and business planning • Knowledge of territory and business conditions affecting sales results • Ability to educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures • Ability to use promotional materials effectively • Ability to utilize internal support-team resources appropriately • Ability to overcome objections and influence prescribing habits • Ability to identify professional groups and network with potential key opinion leaders • Ability to build relationships with office and practice personnel • Ability to provide accurate information and follow through on account needs • Ability to deliver effective sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references • Competent knowledge of own products and competitors
