📋 Description

• Research billing and payment posting issues initiated by patients, insurance carriers or others • Notify customers of findings in accordance with department policies and procedures • Correct payment postings • Adjust accounts • Process refunds and contractual adjustments • Balance reports • Document findings

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required • Two (2) years of work experience in cash posting, credits or insurance billing in a healthcare environment required • Two years post high school education preferred • Five years’ experience preferred • Knowledge of insurance claims processing and third-party reimbursement procedures preferred • Knowledge of Federal, State and third-party payer billing requirements preferred • Good oral and written communication skills • Interpersonal communication skills • Ability to demonstrate initiative and willingly accept responsibility while contributing to a team environment • Ability to deal effectively with difficult people and/or difficult situations, including families of deceased individuals • Ability to set priorities and use good judgment • Washington State residency required
