📋 Description

• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and related project documentation • Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil construction scopes associated with EV charging infrastructure projects • Prepare comprehensive and competitive project proposals and bid documentation • Evaluate project requirements and identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and project risks • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, operations teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the estimating process • Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing • Utilize unit-pricing databases and cost-estimating methodologies, including RSMeans, PlanSwift, and other industry-standard resources • Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost databases • Support value engineering efforts and recommend cost-saving alternatives • Monitor industry trends, material pricing, construction practices, and regulatory changes • Participate in daily team meetings and maintain regular communication with project stakeholders • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting proposal deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working on civil projects • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel • Previous experience working with RSMeans and PlanSwift • CAD experience is a plus • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time • Strong organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously • Ability to participate in daily virtual meetings • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced commercial construction environment
