📋 Description

• Oversee facilities to ensure assessments are completed according to guidelines • Provide oversight on facilities' weekly PDPM meetings for skilled patients • Track and monitor effective utilization of PDPM tools, including Physician Diagnosis Verification, Admission/Discharge CR(GG), Weekly CSR, PDPM Weekly Tracking Tool, and Point Right • Create clinical reporting systems between RDO and RDCS • Hold monthly Regional MDS workshops on PDPM and CMS-related regulations • Track and monitor QM and QASP performance, providing data analysis and clinical recommendations • Assist in reviewing MDS/PDPM claims for accuracy and creating clinical trend analysis • Provide PDPM and MDS training to new MDS Coordinators • Develop performance evaluation systems for MDS Nurses with facility Administrators • Ensure triggered resident assessment protocol areas are included in residents' plans of care • Assess and determine health status and level of care for new admissions • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all MDS Assessments, including PPS Medicare, quarterly, annual, and significant change assessments • Communicate level of care for new residents to all disciplines • Coordinate interdisciplinary participation in completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) for new admissions within regulatory time frames

🎯 Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent Accredited Nursing Program Degree • MDS certification is preferred • Experience in clinical and management roles, preferably in a regional or corporate setting • Knowledge of CMS/OIG surveys and regulations • Strong analytical and reporting skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds • Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer
