📋 Description

• Analyze account information and financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. • Extract data from company databases and use Excel queries, filters, and other analytical tools to prepare reports for management. • Reconcile account activity, investigate unexpected variances, and assist in developing and implementing solutions. • Verify the accurate posting of checks and other financial transactions and research unexplained account activity. • Apply for tax identification numbers with state and federal agencies and respond professionally to agency inquiries. • Track tax identification applications and follow up with appropriate agencies to ensure required identification numbers are received by established deadlines. • Prepare quarterly and annual reconciliation reports supporting income tax reporting requirements. • Maintain accurate client records, correspondence, and supporting documentation. • Communicate project status, outstanding issues, and resolution efforts to Disbursements management, project managers, and other stakeholders as appropriate. • Accurately record daily time in the company’s timekeeping system. • Assist the Senior Financial Analyst and Disbursements management with special projects and other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant coursework and experience will also be considered. • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes. • Accounting coursework or previous accounting-related experience strongly preferred. • Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with queries, filters, spreadsheets, and financial data. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies. • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with internal teams, clients, and government agencies. • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment. • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
