• Design engaging, learner-centered curricula for executive education programs serving state and local government leaders • Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to create high-quality learning experiences across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats • Develop participant materials, facilitator guides, presentations, case studies, simulations, assessments, and other learning resources • Translate complex policy, procurement, and operational concepts into clear, engaging, and actionable learning experiences • Continuously improve existing programs using participant feedback, facilitator observations, and learning data • Collaborate with partners, practitioners, and subject matter experts to develop relevant, evidence-based content • Facilitate interactive workshops, peer learning events, and virtual trainings for government leaders • Create inclusive learning environments that encourage participation, discussion, and practical application • Lead small-group activities, simulations, coaching conversations, and debriefs that deepen participant learning • Adapt facilitation strategies in real time based on audience needs and group dynamics • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education • Three or more years of experience designing and facilitating executive education programs, workshops, professional education, conferences, or other learning experiences for adult professional audiences • Experience working in state or local government or in a role that involved significant partnership or interaction with government agencies • Strong project management experience, including managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging discussions with senior leaders and professional audiences • Excellent written communication and presentation development skills • Direct experience with public procurement, contract management, or experience supporting procurement functions strongly preferred • Familiarity with government operations, budgeting, finance, contracting, organizational change, or related public sector functions preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration platforms • Willingness to travel approximately 6–8 times per year
