📋 Description
• Implement, configure, migrate, maintain, secure, and optimize SQL Server RDBMS systems • Participate in database planning and development • Troubleshoot database issues • Manage SQL Server systems to store, organize, and access data • Serve as backup for the DBA/Reporting Analyst by creating and modifying reports when needed • Design logical and physical databases • Coordinate database development as part of project teams • Review project requests describing database user needs • Estimate project time and cost • Determine whether projects require new programs or modifications to existing programs accessing database data • Attend specification meetings to determine project scope and limitations • Review workflow charts to understand computer tasks such as record updates • Review database management system procedures for defining, creating, revising, and controlling databases • Revise company data definitions in the data dictionary • Enter changes to data dictionary descriptions • Develop data models describing data elements and their usage • Create descriptions enabling Programmer Analysts to understand program data access • Document logical and physical database descriptions, including location, space requirements, and access methods
🎯 Requirements
• 3–5 years of related work experience • Experience working in a fast-paced environment • Prior knowledge of IT protocol and reporting software • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field listed as preferred • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to resolve problems and remove barriers to problem resolution • Ability to work independently with little supervision • Proven ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
