• Complete a full-time, 6–7 week new Investigator training virtually and in person to become certified in the Federal Investigative Standards for government background investigations • Travel daily when conducting in-person background investigations to determine employment suitability for people requiring access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information • Schedule and conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, friends, and family • Perform record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational and financial institutions, and medical/mental health facilities • Type and report obtained information clearly and concisely in a government-issued computer system • Work independently while collaborating with a team of Investigators and a Field Manager
• 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor’s degree may be considered • Experience conducting federal background investigations preferred • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance • Active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication preferred • U.S. citizenship • Must reside within 30 miles of Lubbock city center • Daily local and outside-area travel required as needed • Home office required • Temporary Duty Assignments/remote travel of 14–30 days away from home per TDY may be required • Valid driver's license and full-time use of reliable transportation required • Driving is an essential job function; Motor Vehicle Records may be checked • Sufficient motor vehicle insurance required • Accurate and efficient typing capabilities; 40+ WPM recommended • Ability to work within multiple computer programs concurrently • Ability to speak for extended periods and hear sufficiently for in-person and telephone communication • Ability to record, read, and transcribe words and numbers accurately • Proficient grammar and writing skills for high-quality reports • Ability to interact professionally with others • Ability to write for long periods, meet attendance and punctuality expectations, and maintain attention to detail during fieldwork • High level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity • Professional attire required • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, stand for long periods, and drive in adverse or nighttime conditions • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with varied individuals and personalities • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment under remote supervision • Strong organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills • Proficient writing and communication skills • Relocation assistance is not available
• Full-time employment • Home office required • Temporary Duty Assignments (TDY)/remote travel ranging from 14–30 days away from home per TDY may be required • $26.07 per hour base pay • Employees may be eligible for overtime • Employees may be eligible for shift differential • Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus
