📋 Description

• Lead and support site surveys, site preparation, and system installation activities • Execute and support VCS system cutovers from legacy voice platforms to next-generation systems • Perform decommissioning of legacy voice communication systems • Conduct independent system testing and validation of power installation compliance, cabling integrity and standards adherence, and equipment and site specification alignment • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VCS and supporting telecom/IT infrastructure • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve voice, network, and hardware faults • Support preventive maintenance and system health checks • Provide on-site customer support and end-user orientation/training as needed • Maintain accurate technical documentation, service reports, and cutover records • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, site security, and operational standards • Coordinate with engineers, program teams, and other field technicians during deployment activities • Support installation, transition, sustainment, site preparation, system cutover, customer acceptance, and legacy system decommissioning for next-generation VCS systems

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of experience with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, 0 years with a PhD, or 9 years in lieu of a degree • US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a public trust clearance • Hands-on experience with Voice Communication Switch (VCS) systems or similar mission-critical voice platforms • Experience supporting system cutovers, migrations, or technology refresh efforts • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure • Knowledge of VoIP technologies • Knowledge of cabling standards and power validation • Knowledge of networked voice systems • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause diagnostic skills • Experience using test equipment and diagnostic tools in field environments • Familiarity with operational environments where uptime and reliability are critical • Excellent technical problem-solving ability • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently in remote field locations • Strong documentation and reporting discipline • High attention to detail and adherence to procedures • Effective time management and ability to meet deployment timelines • Ability to collaborate across technical disciplines • Extensive travel capability, up to 95%
