📋 Description

• Support Endangered Species Act Section 7 compliance validation from a software development perspective • Validate decision logic correctness, template content completeness, and consultation routing accuracy • Develop and maintain production migration runbook application-layer components • Document deployment sequences, verification steps, and rollback procedures • Lead remediation of Critical and High severity application defects identified during testing, pilot consultations, and government demonstrations • Support post-deployment monitoring of system availability, species list accuracy, logic performance, and user-reported issues • Implement live consultation feedback into system updates • Contribute to the Production Deployment Report by documenting deployment outcomes and post-deployment monitoring results • Support development of Final Operational Playbooks by documenting application-layer operational procedures and maintenance workflows • Enforce code review requirements and maintain code in the version-controlled repository

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of professional experience, or an Associate's degree and 10 years of professional experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of professional experience • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Extensive experience supporting compliance validation activities on federal regulatory systems • Experience developing and executing production migration runbooks and rollback procedures • Experience with REST API integration and application-layer monitoring for production federal systems • Strong defect remediation and root cause analysis skills • Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent backend development languages • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or cloud data lakehouse architecture on AWS • Familiarity with DOI, FWS, NOAA Fisheries, or other natural resource agency IT environments • Experience with ESA Section 7 compliance or environmental regulatory systems • Active Public Trust Clearance is preferred
