Perfecting Peds is the first telehealth service dedicated to long-term pediatric medication management, connecting board-certified pediatric pharmacists directly with children, caregivers, care teams, and health plans to optimize medication regimens. They deliver interactive virtual visits and on-demand support, provide proactive follow-ups (typically 4–12 times per year), enrich patient information for personalized care, and work to have services covered by insurance for patients under age 24.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough medication reviews for pediatric patients, ensuring appropriateness, safety, and efficacy • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive medication management plans for pediatric patients • Provide remote consultations to caregivers to address medication-related concerns • Educate pediatric patients and their caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care • Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date documentation of medication management interventions • Stay abreast of the latest developments in pediatric pharmacotherapy through ongoing education and training • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of medication management services

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program; active pharmacy license required • Additional state licensure, upon request • Board certification in Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS), preferred • Minimum 4 years of pediatric pharmacy experience with strong clinical knowledge across disease states • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey complex information clearly in virtual settings • Proficient in telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and online collaboration tools • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and remote documentation accuracy • Proven ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and meet productivity goals • Skilled in influencing and engaging patients and providers through effective, empathetic communication
