📋 Description

• Lead, coordinate, and captain support resources for costing large, complex projects • Estimate material costs and associated labor for large-scale and long-term customer programs • Assist with final project reviews • Improve and develop project processes and tools for the pre-construction team • Attend go/no-go discussions, pre-bids, turnover meetings, contract-risk meetings, and legal reviews • Develop turnkey estimates for Building Automation projects • Prioritize projects and tasks to meet the sales schedule • Review customer specifications and drawings • Coordinate and verify subcontractor quotations and scopes of work • Develop detailed scope letters and optimal system designs • Run pre-bid meetings and site walk-throughs for potential projects • Consult with operations, engineering, and sales teams to lower costs during tendering • Reconcile final job costs after project review meetings • Support sales calls as needed • Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships • Turn awarded projects over effectively to the operations team • Support vendor scopes, pricing, and reports; job shadow and cross-train as needed • Assist sales with project qualification and prioritization • Advocate for new initiatives within the PreCon organization • Report directly to the Pre-Construction Manager

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of proficient system application and product knowledge • Experience developing turnkey estimates for Building Automation projects • Ability to prioritize assigned projects/tasks to meet the sales schedule • Ability to review customer specifications and drawings for technical compatibility and competitiveness • Ability to analyze, document, and communicate technical terms and conditions relative to company standards • Ability to coordinate and verify subcontractor quotations and scopes of work • Ability to develop detailed scope letters and optimal system designs • Ability to attend and run pre-bid meetings and site walk-throughs • Ability to consult with operations, engineering, and sales groups throughout the tendering process • Ability to reconcile final job costs after internal and external project review meetings • Ability to identify and document discrepancies in plans and specifications • Ability to support vendor scopes, pricing, and reports • Willingness to complete required technical training • Construction industry experience and Building Automation knowledge implied by the role responsibilities
