• Brainstorm and support development of creative features and activities for the TeachKind website • Analyze TeachKind’s presence and performance on education websites such as Teachers Pay Teachers and Kahoot • Assist with media-related projects, including promotion of vegan food sponsorships, contests, and educator, school, and district awards • Develop creative ways to bring kindness-to-animals messages and activities into PreK-5 classrooms • Collaborate with the TeachKind team and Production department on downloadable and printed educator resources • Research teaching news, education trends, and relevant PreK-5 topics • Build and maintain relationships with PreK-5 teachers through email and digital outreach • Seek speaking opportunities with elementary teachers and administrators and prepare presentations • Review books geared to PreK-5 students • Coordinate and attend education conferences and other TeachKind events • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor
• Minimum of three years of experience teaching in a K-5 classroom • Proven ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and collaborate successfully with the team • Experience in WordPress, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Asana, Word, Excel, TPT, or Kahoot is a plus • Knowledge and support of PETA’s philosophy, campaigns, and animal liberation issues • Commitment to the objectives of the organization, including living a vegan lifestyle • Willingness and ability to travel for conferences • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
