📋 Description

• Provide civil site design and engineering support for Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy projects • Develop grading, drainage, utility layout, erosion control, stormwater, and related construction-detail deliverables • Produce and maintain design surfaces, corridors, alignments, profiles, and plan production in AutoCAD Civil 3D • Prepare and update civil engineering calculations and supporting documentation • Coordinate internal design inputs, project requirements, constraints, and client feedback • Research jurisdictional standards, permitting requirements, and design criteria • Identify permitting needs and requirements affecting design, scope, schedule, or risk • Escalate unclear, conflicting, or high-risk requirements to senior engineering leadership • Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned scopes by reviewing and signing/sealing deliverables within approved complexity thresholds • Apply QA/QC standards through self-checks and peer reviews • Participate in client meetings and design coordination discussions • Coordinate with Survey, GIS, Permitting, and Project Management teams • Provide status updates and flag risks or scope impacts • Maintain organized project documentation, calculations, assumptions, and coordination notes • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and onboarding support to junior engineering staff and CAD designers • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field from an accredited program • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado, or ability to obtain Colorado licensure through reciprocity within an agreed timeframe • 1–5 years of demonstrated professional practice as a licensed PE, including experience reviewing and signing/sealing civil engineering deliverables • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, surfaces, alignments/profiles, plan production, and quantity/support workflows • Demonstrated capability in grading and drainage design and supporting calculations • Demonstrated capability developing erosion control and stormwater deliverables aligned with jurisdictional standards • Ability to research and apply jurisdictional design criteria and permitting requirements • Ability to perform final technical reviews and exercise professional judgment within assigned complexity thresholds • Strong quality ownership, including self-checking work and documenting assumptions • Client-facing communication skills • Strong organization and time management skills • Employment authorization in the United States • Ability to work within continental U.S. time zones • Colorado and/or regional jurisdictional standards familiarity preferred • SWPPP/DESC/GESC documentation experience preferred • Hydrology/hydraulics tools or workflows knowledge preferred
