• Provide therapeutic-area and product expertise in malignant hematology and pipeline topics across medical customer segments and initiatives • Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers across Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, and HI • Maintain knowledge of malignant hematology disease states and Pfizer medicines and provide information to internal and external stakeholders • Serve as a resource for medical information and customer insights, respond to unsolicited HCP requests, and route inbound queries through established processes • Develop and execute aligned Field Medical tactics and contribute to medical content strategy • Collaborate with headquarters medical colleagues, Pfizer Field Medical colleagues, Global Medical Affairs, Oncology Research & Development, and Global Product Development • Identify potential sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials, including sites serving under-represented patient populations • Provide medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process • Cultivate malignant hematology expertise, including knowledge of congress data and disease-state literature • Provide asset leadership and communicate study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation to customers • Lead territory activities and communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups • Deliver insights on local patient organization structure, capabilities, and patient population needs • Serve on medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees as appropriate • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations and societies • Mentor colleagues through onboarding, advisory boards, and study leadership • Participate in special projects as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in a health science required • Relevant experience required: PharmD/PhD with 5+ years of experience, MBA/MSc with 7+ years of experience, or BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience • Subject matter expertise in malignant hematology recognized across internal and external stakeholders • Currently reside in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, or HI, with preference for major cities in Northern California, Oregon, or Washington • Ability to manage a significant volume of projects in a remote environment and prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment • Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team and foster Pfizer/customer professional relationships • Ability to lead and manage change in an evolving external healthcare environment • Change agility and adaptability to new therapeutic areas, territories, projects, and organizational change • Problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking skills • Ability to rapidly adopt and use new digital technology and resources with medical customers and record medical interactions • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to operate a Pfizer company car • Ability to regularly fly on airplanes and maintain flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time • Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city • Ability to work on weekends for advisory boards, regional meetings, and congresses • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree highly preferred • Deep expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology • Established HCP network in the territory • Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions • Previous Field Medical experience • Demonstrated clinical and technical skills • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
