📋 Description

• Provide therapeutic area and product expertise in malignant hematology and pipeline across medical customer segments and initiatives • Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers in Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska • Maintain knowledge of malignant hematology, associated disease states, and Pfizer medicines • Provide therapeutic area and product information to internal and external stakeholders • Serve as a conduit for medical information and customer insights • Respond to unsolicited medical requests from healthcare professionals in compliance with Pfizer guidelines and procedures • Field inbound HCP queries through the established triage process • Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant malignant hematology topics • Identify and engage priority customer segments • Partner with Oncology Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify potential clinical-trial sites, including sites serving under-represented patient populations • Provide medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process • Cultivate research and malignant hematology expertise through congress data and disease-state literature • Provide asset leadership • Communicate study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation concepts to customers • Lead the assigned territory • Communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs • Deliver insights on local patient organization structures, capabilities, and patient population needs • Serve on Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership with clinical/professional associations and societies • Mentor through onboarding, advisory boards, and study leadership • Collaborate with headquarters medical colleagues, Pfizer Field Medical colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external customers • Deliver presentations and communications across live, virtual, written, and telephone channels • Optimize patient centricity in medical communications and deliverables • Record medical interactions and use digital technology and other resources • Participate in special projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO Degree required • 4+ years of relevant experience in malignant hematology required • Subject matter expertise in malignant hematology recognized across internal and external stakeholders • Currently reside in one of the states within the territory: Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK • Ability to manage a significant volume of projects in a remote environment, prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment • Ability to work within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team • Ability to lead change in an evolving external health care environment • Flexibility and adaptability to new therapeutic areas, territories, projects, and organizational change • Problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking skills • Ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and resources • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to operate a Pfizer company car • Ability to regularly fly on airplanes • Flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time • Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city • Ability to work weekends • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • Permanent work authorization in the United States required • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future • Preferred: deep expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology • Preferred: established HCP network in the territory • Preferred: familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations • Preferred: previous Field Medical experience • Preferred: clinical and technical skills • Preferred: diverse leadership experience, influencing and collaborating with peers, developing/coaching others, and overseeing colleagues' work
