📋 Description

• Create and maintain technical documentation for mortgage and fintech systems (LOS, POS, servicing platforms) • Develop user guides, API documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials • Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, concise content • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to document features and system changes • Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements (RESPA, TILA, HMDA, TRID) • Maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides • Support onboarding and training through structured learning materials • Manage documentation lifecycle, versioning, and updates • Participate in product releases to ensure documentation readiness • Gather feedback to continuously improve documentation quality and usability

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3–5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in fintech or regulated industries, OR 7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in fintech or regulated industries • Ability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance • Strong ability to understand and explain complex technical systems • Experience writing API documentation and developer-facing content • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe writing and editing capabilities • Proficient in Confluence and SharePoint documentation and knowledge base systems • Proficient in Markdown editors and Git/GitHub/GitLab for technical tools and version control • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences • Strong collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Structured thinking and content organization • Attention to detail and consistency • Adaptability in fast-paced, regulated environments • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
