• Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment • Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects. • Daily travel with independent work structure • Provide 24x7 “on-call” services as required unless on PTO or Off Call. • Maintain and safeguard company issued equipment, tools, and instruments • Battery installations and replacements • Perform required preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled • Customer contact and interface • Communicate availability status to corporate office • Protect company proprietary information, manuals, and records • Use of electronic and electrical test equipment as necessary • Coordinate and manage all on-site subcontractors hired by PSS as necessary • Maintain company vehicle in safe and operational condition • Ensure that work is performed to PSS standards • Complete all paperwork, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports, and other job required reports timely and accurately • Provide technical support to customers upon request • Maintain Technical documentation for study and/or review • Willing and able to attend training as company deems necessary
• Minimum Qualifications for Level II Technician requires three years of field experience servicing generator systems with some experience on 500kw+ • Proficient Level III Technician requires six years of field experience servicing generator systems with extensive experience on 500KW+ • Proficient with preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, ATS repairs, controller retrofits and Loadbanking equipment • Level IV Technician requires ten years of field experience servicing generator systems of all sizes and applications • Expert in preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, retrofitting advanced controls and Loadbanking equipment • All Candidates need a High School diploma or GED equivalent • Expert in major engine repairs, able to diagnose a wide variety on various applications • Experienced with Volvo and PSI engines • Operational and functional understanding of Automatic Transfer Systems, able to troubleshoot and repair with minimal direction • Must observe all safety standards. • Mentor Mid to High level techs as requested.
