📋 Description

• The Electrical Source Inspector performs independent source inspections at supplier and manufacturer facilities to verify compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements, approved drawings, ITPs, and purchase order specifications. • Inspections are conducted in accordance with applicable IEC, IEEE, NEC (NFPA 70), ISO, and Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES/SAMSS) to ensure electrical materials and equipment meet contractual, technical, and quality requirements prior to release. • Perform source inspections per approved ITPs, Quality Plans, and Aramco electrical inspection requirements. • Verify compliance of electrical equipment including cables, switchgear, motors, transformers, panels, junction boxes, lighting, and grounding systems. • Verify material traceability, certifications, and test documentation. • Witness and verify assembly, wiring, termination, IR/Hi-Pot testing, functional testing, FAT, and routine/type tests, as applicable. • Confirm calibration status of electrical testing and measuring equipment. • Identify and report non-conformances and verify corrective action closure. • Review and endorse inspection reports, test records, and release documentation. • Maintain independence, ethics, and objectivity in line with professional inspection practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. • 5–10 years of electrical inspection experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy projects. • Strong working knowledge of electrical inspection practices and applicable IEC, IEEE, NEC (NFPA 70) standards. • Experience inspecting LV/HV cables, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, control panels, junction boxes, lighting, and grounding systems, as applicable. • Saudi Aramco project experience – Highly desirable. • IEC / IEEE / NEC–based electrical inspection training – Advantage. • NDT Level II (if applicable to scope) – Advantage. • CompEx / Hazardous Area certification – Advantage (where applicable).
