📋 Description

• Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical designs for utilities and EPC partners • Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships • Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects • Manage resources, performance, and development for a growing national substation group • Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence • Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives • Champion a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration and inclusion across the team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering and an active PE license; PMP is a plus • 15+ years of experience in physical substation design, including 4+ years in leadership • Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design, general arrangements, grounding plans, and bus configurations • Advanced knowledge of utility industry standards • A passion for mentorship, innovation, and collaborative leadership • Confident communicator, mentor, and team builder with excellent organizational skills and a passion for helping engineers grow in both technical depth and systems thinking
