• Coordinate purchase closings • Communicate with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, and other title companies • Respond to customer and client inquiries via phone, fax, and email • Review title binders for outstanding deeds of trust, judgments, and liens • Review contracts and update files for concessions, termite provisions, home warranties, commissions, and other specifics • Obtain payoff information from utilities, HOA/condo associations, and other parties • Run bankruptcy and Patriot searches on current owners and borrowers • Order required surveys • Prepare deeds, judgment affidavits, continuous marriage affidavits, estate documents, trust documents, and other state-specific closing documents • Collaborate with lenders and other title companies to balance CD or HUD1 figures • Obtain agent review and approval of settlement statements • Schedule closings and locate/assign notaries through SnapDocs when needed • Confirm file balances, wire amounts, invoices, and checks • Prepare closing packages for customer signatures • Follow up on signed seller documents required for disbursement • Assist post-closing activities related to recording and disbursement • Recover monies owed and correct issues for short or rejected files • Maintain relationships with agents, office staff, management, and sales to support business growth
• High school diploma or equivalent required • Additional education or training in real estate, finance, or a related field preferred • Previous experience in real estate, title & escrow, or mortgage lending preferred • Virginia Real Estate Title experience preferred • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency with relevant software and technology • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations, particularly related to refinance transactions • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills required for typing, writing, and handling documents • Ability to lift and carry boxes or files weighing up to 25 pounds • Visual acuity and ability to read small print on documents • Hearing and verbal communication skills necessary for conducting phone calls and in-person interactions • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours or weekends to meet deadlines or accommodate client needs • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
• Remote position • Core business hours of 8:30am–5:30pm Monday through Friday • 40 hours per week • Opportunity to work in-office at the Virginia Beach, VA location if local
