📋 Description

• Own vulnerability management end to end, including penetration tests, CSPM/CWPP tooling, MTTR, and risk reporting • Own application security, including SAST, DAST, SCA, secret scanning, threat modeling, secure code review, and developer training • Secure AI/LLM systems across model integrations, RAG pipelines, and LLM provider APIs • Evaluate AI features for prompt injection, data exfiltration, model abuse, and output guardrails before release • Lead cloud and infrastructure security in Azure/AKS and GCP under FedRAMP and GCC High requirements • Implement IAM, network segmentation, encryption, Kubernetes runtime protection, IaC scanning, WAF, and zero-trust design with DevOps • Build security automation including CI/CD security gates, detection-as-code, SOAR, custom tooling, and automated compliance evidence collection • Lead or support detection and incident response across endpoints, cloud, and application layers • Maintain the incident response plan • Map technical controls to NIST 800-53 and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring • Provide technical responses to customer security assessments • Report to the CISO and collaborate with Platform Engineering, Product, and DevOps

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience • Depth in at least three of vulnerability management, application security, cloud security, security automation, and detection engineering • Strong cloud-native security experience in Azure and/or GCP • Experience with Kubernetes, container hardening, and infrastructure-as-code security • Experience operating vulnerability scanners, SAST/DAST/SCA, CSPM/CWPP, EDR, SIEM, and secret scanning • Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or Bash sufficient to build automation and custom tooling • US citizenship required for FedRAMP and defense customers • Experience securing AI/ML systems and LLM applications preferred • SaaS security background at a B2B or GovTech company preferred • Working knowledge of FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and SOC 2 preferred • FedRAMP or CMMC assessment support experience preferred • GCC High, Azure Government, or AWS GovCloud experience preferred • Familiarity with DFARS 252.204-7012, CUI handling, and ITAR/EAR preferred • Certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, cloud security certifications, or CISSP preferred • Prior founding or early security hire at a startup preferred • Background check required, potentially including credit history, criminal records, and employment verification • Eligibility to obtain or currently hold a security clearance required for government contracts
