📋 Description

• Review patient records to improve the quality and completeness of provider-based clinical documentation • Assist providers in ensuring patient records accurately reflect severity of illness and level of services rendered • Collaborate with providers, coders, and other patient care team members on comprehensive patient documentation • Develop and deliver clinical documentation improvement education to providers • Formulate, monitor, and respond to compliant documentation clarification requests

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field • 1-2 years of inpatient coding experience • RN with active state licensure OR certification: RHIA/RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS • Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field • Preferred: Experience with acute care inpatient coding or clinical documentation improvement • Preferred: RN, RHIA/RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS certification • Must reside in an eligible U.S. state; employment is unavailable to residents of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, or U.S. territories • Eligibility based on applicant’s primary residence at time of hire
