• responsible for accurately coding diagnoses, procedures and other services • work with providers to ensure documentation is clear and complete • review all claim edits and correct errors in a timely fashion • code for practice and hospital charges for all departments supported by the Professional Billing Office
• High School diploma or equivalent • Must be able to pass internal coding test • Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding • Minimum of 1 year of physician/professional coding experience in a health care system or medical office setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience • CPC, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA certification required, or must obtain within 90-day probationary period
