âą Conduct in-depth analysis of environmental assessment documents and policies from federal, state, and local agencies to determine geographic scope and identify potential impacts on environmental justice communities âą Utilize GIS software and geospatial mapping tools to visually represent and analyze data related to pollutant and emission sources in proximity to marginalized communities âą Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop detailed reports that integrate environmental justice and equity considerations into FERC processes âą Generate final reports that analyze the policies and practices of federal, state, and local agencies regarding geographic scope determinations for impacts on environmental justice communities âą Create presentations to communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers âą Participate in staff briefings as needed to provide expertise and insights related to GIS and environmental data analysis
âą Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial mapping tools âą Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to assess environmental impacts on marginalized communities âą Familiarity with environmental justice principles and experience working on projects with a focus on environmental equity âą Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences âą Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary projects âą Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field âą Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in GIS analysis, environmental data mapping, and environmental justice assessments âą Prior experience working with federal, state, or local agencies on environmental assessment projects is advantageous. âą Demonstrated expertise in conducting environmental impact assessments with a focus on communities of color, low-income communities, and other marginalized communities. âą Experience working in the energy industry or with energy-related projects is a plus. âą U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
