📋 Description

• Create, modify, and troubleshoot Excel macros • Implement Power Query and Power Pivot for advanced data analysis and data modeling • Automate data entry, reporting, and analysis processes using VBA • Create and modernize Excel templates with complex formulas, charts, and financial analysis tools • Perform data cleaning, transformation, summarization, and advanced analysis of financial and agricultural data • Support budget formulation, financial reporting, user-fee billing and analysis, cotton price statistics, revenue and collection reports, and salary/benefits tracking • Provide Information Technology Center support for USDA Agriculture Marketing Service Cotton & Tobacco Program engagements • Work with USDA Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand spreadsheet needs and deliver customized solutions • Train users and provide documentation for modernized Excel sheets • Manage multiple spreadsheet modernization tasks across divisions and meet delivery milestones • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, documented, and compliant with established criteria

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field • 5+ years of experience in VBA/Excel automation • Expertise using VBA to create, modify, and troubleshoot macros • Experience with Excel Power Query and Power Pivot • Advanced Excel proficiency, including macros, VBA, complex formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and automated reporting • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, summarization, financial data, agricultural data, and budget templates • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio • Experience with financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics relevant to the USDA AMS Cotton & Tobacco Program • Proficiency in financial management reporting, budget formulation, user-fee analysis, database integration, and automation • Training and documentation experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools • U.S. citizenship required • No visa sponsorship; H-1B and TN visas are not supported • Subject to background checks and possible drug testing • Must comply with regulatory and mandatory training requirements • Professional certifications such as MOS Expert in Excel, Certified Data Analyst, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, and PMP are listed as desired/beneficial • No specific licensure required
