• Serve as the link between the sales team and customers while managing special engineering projects • Work closely with the Sales Director, Aluminum Sector Technical Sales Representatives, and Pyrotek’s various manufacturing plants • Conduct joint customer visits as needed • Manage assigned projects from qualification through commissioning • Qualify quotations, develop projects, estimate costs and parameters, follow up on projects, and commission equipment at customers’ facilities • Collaborate with the manufacturing team on product development and product design/modifications • Visit customers regularly as required by the Representatives and ongoing projects • Answer customer questions about products and services for unassigned accounts • Participate in sales meetings and other events • Occasionally contribute to projects with the Research and Development Center • Provide technical support to the plant during the manufacturing process as needed • Act as the primary contact for smaller customers and provide pricing • Assist Project Managers with engineering projects • Take ownership of cost-saving and production-improvement projects • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending external or internal training sessions • Keep customer records up to date using company tools, including CRM, SharePoint, and other systems
• Problem-solving oriented • Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts clearly • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with various internal and external stakeholders • Ability to manage priorities and work under time constraints • Contribute to maintaining positive relationships between manufacturing and sales • Interest in learning about processes related to the aluminum and foundry industries • Ability to read technical drawings • Comfortable working as part of a team • Creative and innovative • Strong sense of ethics • Metallurgical knowledge is an asset • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or other ERP systems • Knowledge of sales management software is an asset • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field • College diploma in a design-related field combined with relevant experience • Other relevant university education combined with several years of experience • 1–2 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role
