📋 Description

• Lead a two-person team with an Operations Driver (Wire Down Guard) to patrol distribution lines and equipment damaged by hurricanes, ice, wind, or other causes • Ensure crews have proper materials for restoration work and understand appropriate electrical distribution safety rules • Identify primary and secondary electrical facilities, including poles, wires, services, insulators, transformers, fuses, reclosers, regulators, OCBs, and substations • Identify all necessary repairs required for restoration • Complete detailed, client-specific damage reports • Conduct visual analyses and capture photographs using a smartphone and/or tablet • Enter and accurately document field data using mobile technology • Use GPS software and/or geospatial coordinates to navigate assigned territories and client sites • Complete accurate field assessments reflecting actual conditions • Communicate with the team to ensure consistent and accurate data collection • Meet production targets and project deliverables and milestones • Follow safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives • Assist with power restoration efforts during natural disasters • Travel extensively and work extended on-site hours when mobilized

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in utility distribution or transmission systems (Journeyman Linemen, Engineers or operations) • Minimum of 10+ years lineman experience required for inspections • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record • Ability to communicate and collaborate with remote teams • Physical capacity to work extended hours under adverse conditions • Proficiency with mobile technology • Smartphone with an active data plan • Capability to cover travel and meal expenses until reimbursed • Ability to identify electrical distribution facilities and necessary restoration repairs • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite • Situational awareness and map-reading skills • Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays • Ability to travel, including periodically overnight • Physical capability to walk power line rights of way under various weather and terrain conditions
