📋 Description

• Deliver end-to-end training consultation for internal Qualus employees and external clients • Lead technical training programs and deliver training sessions • Provide subject-matter direction to instructional designers and learning scientists • Collaborate on training initiatives by setting scope, success metrics, and milestones aligned with safety, quality, and operational goals • Translate design workflows and job tasks into learning objectives, scenarios, labs, and assessments • Review and approve storyboards and modules for technical accuracy and practicality • Serve as technical subject-matter expert for substation design engineering topics, including protection and control, physical layout, documentation, and QA/QC • Administer QualU’s Engineering Boot Camp training program • Consult with stakeholders to identify gaps, prioritize curricula, and define career progression pathways • Support change-management training for new tools and processes • Use data and analytics to evaluate training impact and recommend enhancements • Host internal and client training seminars, coach mentors, and support train-the-trainer activities • Coordinate training logistics with the Training Ops team • Represent Qualus with clients for scoping, SOW inputs, and stakeholder updates • Embed human performance principles throughout training programs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering • 5+ years in protection and controls and/or physical substation design engineering • 1–2+ years mentoring/coaching or leading technical training initiatives • EIT required • PE preferred • Familiarity with power studies, settings file creation, transmission line design, and/or distribution design • Strong grasp of electrical theory, protection and control fundamentals, and industry standards including NEC, NESC, and IEEE • Ability to review electrical drawings, relay/IED settings, and client design standards at a practical level • Working knowledge of substation design workflows • Experience delivering in-person and/or virtual training sessions • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
