📋 Description

• Serve as the executive-level relationship owner for a multi-million dollar book of business, ensuring clients receive proactive, strategic, and timely tax counsel year-round • Lead tax strategy conversations with clients, identifying planning opportunities beyond compliance • Meet with key clients to review tax positions, adjust strategy, and document learnings into repeatable processes • Prepare and/or review strategic tax plans for technical accuracy, long-term savings, and appropriateness for client goals • Research and consult on complex tax matters; involve outside resources when appropriate and document the outcome • Identify and surface additional service opportunities for clients; hand off to the appropriate team member • Review tax returns, projections, and strategic tax plans prepared by team members for technical accuracy, alignment with client tax strategy, and compliance with current law • Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals toward both technical skill and efficiency • Own tax department's KPIs: capacity, utilization, turnaround time, time under budget, average hourly rate, and percent tax work complete

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed CPA or EA (required) • At least 6 years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting firm • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of tax professionals • Extensive knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership taxation; trust experience a plus • Experience conducting or leading tax planning conversations with business clients, not just preparing returns • High proficiency with tax software, and productivity tools; comfortable learning new systems • Self-accountable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
