đź“‹ Description

• Drive development of customer satellite systems with a focus on flight software delivery • Lead the full development lifecycle from requirements definition through validation, verification, and operations • Provide autonomous solutions to complex problems through direct work or delegation under the Systems Engineering Manager • Hold project and subject matter responsibility and authority • Perform systems engineering tasks for satellite software systems and the heritage platform • Define, decompose, flow down, and manage Software and Avionics Subsystem requirements • Conduct system design and trade studies • Develop verification matrices and perform buy-off/sell-off, test planning, and analysis planning • Ensure systems engineering processes and requirements traces/RVTMs are followed • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet technical requirements • Resolve and troubleshoot flight software anomalies • Participate in cross-functional engineering and integration planning and execution • Support spacecraft product roadmap development, including design adjustments, schedules, and cost targets • Support spacecraft customization processes for customer mission needs • Build, maintain, and evolve spacecraft products • Promote cost savings through reuse of heritage platform designs and manufacturing infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas • A minimum of 15 years with a bachelor's degree, or 12 years with a master's degree • Proven track-record of working with aerospace software systems, from conceptual designs and tradeoffs through detailed design, development, integration, test, deployment, and operations • Proven track-record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to solve problems • Familiarity with space mission architectures extending beyond the satellite platform, including launch, flight operations, mission CONOPS, user interfaces, etc. • Experience with systems architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, and requirements verification and validation, e.g. Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrices • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar) • Experience leading and/or performing analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, or other specialties engineering disciplines • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
