📋 Description

• Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for Reddit’s Video Ads Android offering. • Partner with Product and Design to transform Video Ads into an industry-leading format. • Drive technical design and execution of projects from roadmap to delivery. • Establish Android best practices and provide design reviews for video ads and Reddit-unique ad formats. • Lead the full development lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping through testing, experimentation, and deployment. • Mentor senior engineers across teams and establish best practices for design, testing, and operational excellence. • Advocate for customers and lead by example in technical leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • 3+ years of deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android architectural patterns • Completed 4+ Android development projects from ideation through production deployment • Prior Ad Tech experience building highly interactive/rich-media mobile experiences • Proven delivery of user-facing features where UI polish and performance are critical • Ability to design fault-tolerant client-side systems in complex, data-intensive environments • Experience leveraging GenAI tools to improve software engineering productivity • Fluency with product metrics and designing/analyzing experiments; exposure to BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, or similar tools • Openness to work across the stack and explore AI/ML integration • Self-directed, innovative, action-oriented approach and comfort with ambiguity • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, organizational, and prioritization skills • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Experience working on Video Ads, at a scaled peer company, or with Jetpack Compose is a bonus
