📋 Description

• Own delivery and daily execution for the engineering team • Translate product and business goals into scoped, sequenced work • Hire, develop, and manage a team of 5–8 engineers from junior to senior levels • Run performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and conduct career development conversations • Drive process improvements for velocity, estimation, and quality • Liaise with product, design, and business stakeholders on scope, risks, and trade-offs • Partner with Engineering Managers and the Principal Engineer on coherent technical direction • Integrate AI-assisted development into the team's daily workflow • Create a psychologically safe environment for engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading a team of engineers through delivery, ideally on consumer-facing products at some scale • Track record of developing people, including engineers who were promoted or improved • Hands-on technical credibility sufficient to evaluate technical trade-offs and coach engineers • Ability to participate meaningfully in design reviews and technical conversations • Comfort owning outcomes, team delivery, and morale when requirements change • Bias toward direct, specific feedback and follow-through
