📋 Description

• Help lead media strategy and support global media activities tied to commercial launches, campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, executive communications, and reactive media inquiries • Collaborate with segment teams on messaging, bylined articles, pitches, and other media content • Work with stakeholders in key markets, agencies, and business partners to deliver media goals • Provide counsel to business segments and markets • Handle media inquiries, strategic planning, tracking, and measurement • Maintain in-depth knowledge of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through education, conferences, and specialist media

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in media relations or corporate communications • Experience within a global, matrixed organization or agency setting supporting a large enterprise client • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered • Established relationships with and credibility among journalists covering science, healthcare, technology, or business • Experience counseling senior executives on media strategy, positioning, and issue/crisis response • Strong news judgment and writing skills • Ability to translate complex scientific and technical topics for a general audience • Experience managing external PR agencies and cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority • Advanced verbal communication, policy and procedures, project schedule management, corporate relations initiatives, and media measurement and analytics • Experienced in presenting solutions, presentation skills, review and reporting, content development processes and workflow, maintaining relationships, managing resistance, and desktop publishing
