📋 Description

• Support execution of the customer’s annual laboratory equipment capital expenditure plans • Negotiate laboratory equipment purchases and service contracts • Identify synergies and cost savings between the Laboratory Asset Management Program and equipment purchasing plan • Direct equipment requestors through the purchasing process • Oversee a global sourcing team and drive procurement best practices • Negotiate supplier quotes within defined SLAs and liaise with suppliers and equipment requestors • Upload revised quotes into the ticketing workflow • Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers • Implement supplier performance metrics, dashboards, and scorecards • Investigate alternative equipment sources and used equipment options • Verify pricing against customer pricing agreements and ensure agreements are applied to quotes • Identify cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and value creation opportunities • Track achieved savings • Guide scientists toward preferred suppliers and standardized equipment options • Support supplier setup requests and supplier reduction initiatives • Communicate delivery logistics with on-site personnel for pass-through purchases • Lead sourcing teams and associated Renovo KPIs for repair and maintenance services • Oversee purchase order processes and SOPs for external service providers • Train and mentor the sourcing team on service contract sourcing practices • Review OEM/ISO service contract and time-and-materials spending • Develop negotiation plans and negotiate SLAs, pricing discounts, service contracts, repairs, and parts • Identify synergies between capital equipment and service contracts • Provide surge support during budgeting and service contract purchasing periods • Lead supplier service performance scorecarding and vendor business reviews • Participate in Renovo QBRs and conduct regular supplier business reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred • 7+ years of experience in procurement • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) • Experience working with laboratory equipment • Skilled in improving data accuracy, driving compliance, and supporting informed decision-making across cross-functional teams • Knowledge of GxP and data integrity requirements in regulated environments • Strong attention to detail • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations for non-technical audiences • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization • Demonstrated impact on operational efficiency • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of data tools and dashboards • Experience working with business leaders and operation teams • Accountability, communication, financial acumen, integrity, customer service, priority setting, and team-building competencies • Must follow OSHA guidelines regarding blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices • Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot and cold temperature ranges, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and ability to detect/distinguish colors • Must be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including quarterly customer visits and international travel as required by specific projects
