📋 Description

• Assist in advancing the company’s North American business strategies through mergers and acquisitions • Head the entire M&A department and oversee junior personnel • Lead integration readiness assessments, integration strategy development, target due diligence, and post-close integration management • Shape departmental culture and improve departmental performance • Manage the merger and acquisition lifecycle across workforce planning, learning and development, talent management, performance management, organizational change, onboarding, engagement, and reward • Evaluate target financial statement trends and integrity to support investment model development • Lead, plan, and support due diligence across commercial, financial, product, operations, technology, sales, and marketing functions • Model and analyze impending and ongoing transactions • Complete market research and strategic fit analyses • Monitor IFRS and GAAP developments relevant to M&A and liaise with UK Group accounting on North American implementation • Collaborate with business units and functional teams to develop business cases, including synergies and realistic cost forecasts • Build financial valuation models to assess value creation for acquisition, venture, or divestment proposals • Coordinate post-acquisition reviews and carry forward best practices and lessons learned • Support acquisitions through integration and transition to RNA systems and processes • Track and coordinate deferred consideration payment calculations and settlements • Direct or manage acquired companies’ financial accounting and reporting functions when required

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10 years of M&A, finance, and/or senior-level accounting experience — required • Proficient deal analysis, negotiation, and execution • Extensive knowledge of accrual accounting concepts and corporate finance • Experience managing a large M&A team through the full merger or acquisition lifecycle • Strong accounting background and knowledge of GAAP and IFRS • General business experience in a commercial setting • Strong verbal and written English communication skills • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2007 or later, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Advanced spreadsheet skills • Knowledge of Google Suite and associated programs used at Rentokil-Terminix • Ability to gather, interpret, and apply large amounts of information to business- and customer-focused decisions • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Ability to work independently and lead across functional areas • Some legal exposure/experience preferred but not required • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting — required • MBA preferred • CPA preferred • Travel up to 20% depending on geographic location and conditions
