📋 Description

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions • Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports • Assist the Area Controller in ensuring proper internal controls and compliance with company policies, procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley, and statutory requirements • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy • Assist with management of accounting personnel and provide direction to accounting functional areas • Support the Area Controller during annual budgeting and interim forecasting and assist with analytical review • Support accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements • Assist with periodic internal audits, external audits, and peer reviews • Respond to information requests from corporate, regional, and area field financial management • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Accounting experience • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Intermediate-level MS Excel skills • Initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on non-standard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Effective and professional interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors • Strong analytical skills • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment • Experience with general ledger software and other programs consistently used in industry • Experience with Oracle accounting software and other programs consistently used in industry
