📋 Description

• Lead the firm’s tax department as its senior technical authority • Drive growth of Tax Advisory Services (TAS) • Develop the tax department’s people and systems • Own the firm’s tax business unit and serve on the leadership team • Deliver an exceptional client experience across client tiers • Ensure tax returns are accurate and deadlines are met • Implement tax strategies and maintain operational consistency and accountability • Develop, support, and manage advisors and preparers • Expand and deepen the advisory practice across the client base • Retain and serve high-value clients and build trusted senior-client relationships

🎯 Requirements

• CPA required; licensed CPA required • MS in Taxation strongly preferred • 10+ years of public accounting experience with meaningful time in a leadership or review capacity • Mastery of tax strategy development • Ability to quickly diagnose clients’ situations and develop tactics to mitigate tax exposure • Deep fluency in individual and business taxation, including 1040s, 1120-S, 1065, multi-state, and multi-entity structures • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at the advisory level • Experience managing or developing tax staff • Comfortable working in a growing firm and bringing structure • Deep expertise in tax planning, compliance, and complex return review • Skilled at coaching, motivating, and holding teammates accountable • Ability to communicate tax strategy clearly • Ability to diagnose difficult tax and financial situations and propose smart, defensible solutions • Ownership, accountability, and follow-through • Ability to contribute strategically to the firm’s direction
