• Provide prompt, courteous, and high-quality customer service to policyholders and claimants • Respond to customer inquiries, initiate investigations, and resolve customer claims • Gather necessary information to initiate claims • Explain policy, coverage, and appropriate courses of action • Manage an inventory of claims • Establish initial reserves for potential exposures and adjust them throughout the claim • Coordinate repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement • Recognize recovery opportunities involving subrogation, salvage, and total loss • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys within approved payment authority • Provide input on claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements • Oversee and direct outside investigative service providers • Work with clients, client counsel, and investigative services to resolve claims • Engage in learning opportunities covering personal lines claims, relevant court decisions, current claims guidelines, and policy changes
• Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment • Candidates cannot reside in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States • Bachelor's degree (lack of one should not stop you from applying if you possess all the other qualifications) • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience on commercial transportation claims, dealing with Third-Party PD/Total Loss • Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license • Willingness to obtain all licenses within 60 days, including completing any state required testing • Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures • Commercial experience necessary • Ability to analyze and evaluate claims data and make sound decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures • Curiosity and motivation for problem solving and questioning the status quo • Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication and customer service skills
