📋 Description

• Plan and execute Master Production Schedule production orders to ensure finished goods meet sales demand. • Review and revise production schedules for design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, and other interruptions. • Identify economic order quantities while coordinating supplier minimum order quantities across locations and warehouse constraints. • Execute Material Requirements Planning through purchase orders to vendors and contract manufacturers. • Maintain open purchase orders, monitor ETA changes, and support accounts payable with purchase order and invoice discrepancies. • Drive continuous improvement in planning and procurement processes. • Work with Strategic Sourcing to secure suppliers and resolve supplier issues, delays, and quality issues. • Manage material and supply inventories to meet production and company goals. • Communicate with vendors to ensure delivery and quality requirements. • Coordinate relationships with contract manufacturers and act as liaison on product changes, quality issues, and supply chain concerns. • Monitor inventory turns and develop improvement recommendations. • Analyze and manage MPS, MRP, and material master/parameter data in ERP and IBP/S&OP systems. • Maintain relationships with Operations, Quality, Sales, Finance, and key suppliers. • Participate in daily production and weekly scheduling meetings. • Communicate with manufacturing, production, project team members, and managers to determine needs. • Complete special projects, including new product development. • Travel may be required for limited performance reviews and audits.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years’ directly related experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline. • 5+ years’ experience in buyer/planner, or similar, role. • Advanced knowledge of procurement/planning principles, theories, and processes. • Previous background in chemicals/packaging, inventory planning, and/or contract manufacturing. • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, accuracy, and multitasking skills. • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and solve problems. • Strong applied math skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and efficient manner. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Ability to gain knowledge of company products and comply with company quality, environmental, and safety policies and procedures, including FDA and GMP requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional interaction with internal and external customers. • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
