📋 Description

• Own Grove’s FHIR data layer from resource design through system integration • Define clinical data models in FHIR R4 across patient demographics, medications, observations, care plans, diagnostic reports, and clinical encounters • Design and maintain AWS HealthLake ingestion pipelines, resource validation, search parameters, bulk export, and FHIR API contracts • Program directly to the Canvas Medical SDK for clinical workflow automation, note creation, protocol execution, patient chart updates, and event-driven synchronization • Own the evolution roadmap for Grove’s FHIR data model, including extension patterns, profiling strategy, and versioning standards • Define FHIR resource payloads for six clinical AI agents, including Bedrock context structures and structured outputs written to HealthLake • Design Medication Request and Medication Dispense interfaces for prescription dispatch paths • Configure FHIR Subscription resources and design webhook payload schemas for inbound clinical events • Establish resource validation rules, profile conformance testing, and data quality monitoring • Document FHIR contracts, resource profiles, and integration patterns for backend, mobile, and AI teams • Collaborate with the KMS Technology engineering team on FHIR design reviews, resource modeling, and integration standards enforcement • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of production FHIR R4 implementation experience, including resource modeling, profiling, validation, and API development in live clinical systems • Hands-on AWS HealthLake experience with ingestion pipelines, FHIR search parameter design, and data lifecycle management • Canvas Medical SDK programming experience; equivalent depth with a modern FHIR-native EHR such as Epic FHIR R4 APIs or Athenahealth may substitute with a clear ramp path • Deep fluency modeling clinical resources and workflows in FHIR R4 • FHIR Subscription and event-driven data flow experience, including real-time clinical event delivery, webhooks, and asynchronous synchronization • HIPAA-compliant data handling, including PHI field-level controls, FHIR-layer access scoping, audit log design, and data minimization • Strong TypeScript or Python skills • Experience defining FHIR resource contracts for LLM or agentic AI systems preferred • US Core, Da Vinci, or other FHIR implementation guide profiling experience preferred • SMART on FHIR authorization and CDS Hooks integration experience preferred • Bulk FHIR export ($export operation) experience preferred • Compounding pharmacy or e-prescribing domain knowledge preferred • Experience maintaining FHIR data quality across multiple upstream write sources preferred • Familiarity with ONC certification requirements and their implications for FHIR API design preferred
