📋 Description

• Develop, design and produce highly complex reinsurance treaties incorporating advanced reinsurance concepts • Ensure treaties accurately reflect reinsurance agreement provisions negotiated between RGA Re and clients • Research and create client-prepared or RGA-drafted treaties capturing all details of reinsurance transactions • Evaluate client-prepared documents and recommend necessary revisions • Identify and escalate treaty language outside guideline parameters to Subject Matter Experts, including obtaining and documenting approvals • Collaborate with Actuarial, Legal, Administration and Underwriting SMEs • Conduct peer reviews for quality, accuracy, adherence to business guidelines and legal protocols • Ensure treaties comply with state and federal insurance regulations and corporate contract standards • Identify regulatory or standards differences and escalate them to Legal counsel • Maintain client and internal associate relationships to resolve treaty issues • Advise clients on recommended treaty revisions and monitor execution status • Drive resolution with internal associates, orchestrate client calls and occasionally meet visiting clients in person • Communicate continuously with clients by phone and email • Use computer systems to produce boilerplate treaty documents, reports and data entries • Assist associates with questions and occasionally provide training • Analyze methods, procedures and processes; recommend and implement approved improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS), Paralegal Degree or equivalent related experience in insurance, reinsurance or law related positions required • 5+ Years legal, commercial contract or document drafting experience required • Advanced Microsoft Word skills • Basic Microsoft Excel skills • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills • Advanced written and oral communication skills • Ability to share and impart knowledge • Advanced critical thinking, complex analytical and problem-solving skills • Advanced investigative skills • Flexibility and adaptability to change • Initiative and accountability • Ability to comprehend, interpret and compose highly complex treaty language and apply it appropriately • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines • Highly organized and attentive to detail • Basic goal-setting skills • Change initiation skills • Value judgment abilities • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Advanced interpersonal and persuasion skills • Basic SQL query skills preferred • Progress toward FLMI, ARA or other relevant professional accreditation preferred
