📋 Description

• Investigate, analyze, and reconstruct vehicular collisions. • Analyze work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal timing plans, and traffic control devices. • Analyze single- and multiple-vehicle collisions and intersection traffic signals. • Reconstruct collisions using analysis, CAE-based tools, and test data where appropriate. • Analyze collision-scene evidence and perform forensic mapping of collision sites and vehicles. • Inspect roadways, traffic signals, traffic control devices, cars, trucks, and other transportation vehicles. • Inspect and analyze automotive or mechanical parts for the origin and cause of failure. • Prepare and present demonstrative diagrams, charts, and analyses. • Document and preserve evidence. • Prepare timely, accurate written reports of findings. • Present findings to clients. • Provide expert testimony in depositions, trials, and other litigation as necessary.

🎯 Requirements

• S. Civil Engineering required. • PE license required. • 2-10+ years’ experience required. • Professional/industry working experience in traffic engineering. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Independent judgment and strong analytical skills. • Ability to provide expert witness testimony. • Must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site/vehicle inspections. • Ability to speak and interact with clients, prepare written reports of findings, and testify in deposition or trial. • Must possess the mental aptitude, cognition, concentration, and state of mind necessary to perform job duties. • Must be able to perform field inspections, physically move debris, inspect vehicles, and drive a motor vehicle to job sites. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Clear vision and depth perception. • Ability to work required overtime. • Up to 25% local/regional travel; out-of-area and overnight travel may be required. • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in engineering preferred. • PTOE certification preferred. • Part-time and ex-law enforcement officers with 6+ years of accident reconstruction experience.
