• Provide embedded RF systems support for a single fixed-length project • Work within a team to develop low-level network communication protocols and security features • Devise solutions complying with strict operational guidelines and limitations • Conceptualize, design, and execute network test scenarios • Develop and implement embedded networking protocol features across the entire software stack • Reverse engineer and modify existing embedded devices • Develop, test, and optimize firmware and embedded systems for wireless communication devices
• Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field • 1–2 years of experience in software/RF engineering focused on wireless communications • Proficiency in low-level programming languages such as C/C++ or Rust • Proficiency in scripting or automation using Python or Bash • Experience with Linux systems and embedded environments • Strong understanding of computer networks and networking protocols • Familiarity with software version control systems, including Git • Must be a US citizen • Must be able to obtain a clearance in the future as needed • Desired: Experience with ESP32 development • Desired: Familiarity with software-defined radios • Desired: Experience reverse engineering IoT devices
