📋 Description

• Work with domestic and international participants to book air travel to and from program destinations • Provide excellent customer service in a team structure • Resolve customer needs and issues and finalize air arrangements • Become an expert in company policy and procedures and make situational decisions based on participant and organizational needs • Sell domestic, international, negotiated and block space air travel options • Qualify calls and provide schedules and pricing to enable first-call resolution • Manage inbound and outbound participant calls • Create preliminary itineraries for all TCA enrollments • Handle airline schedule changes according to airline guidelines • Resolve flight changes caused by world events, weather or airline strikes • Assist participants on the Emergency Line as needed • Promote additional services for custom air participants, hotels and upgrades • Educate participants about competitive upgrade offers • Match and fulfill customer needs using effective closing skills and sound judgment • Make business decisions focused on customer satisfaction and Road Scholar brand advocacy • Foster participant relationships through active listening and engagement • Navigate multiple computer applications and search engines while on the phone • Meet or exceed Travel Services performance standards and metrics • Increase air on enrollments and enhance the customer experience • Take ownership of customer interactions and experiences • Work Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in a contact center environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or comparable experience preferred • Excellent communication, decision making, persuasion and closing skills • 1-2 years’ experience with Air Travel preferred • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills, including negotiation and closing capabilities • Solid knowledge of airline negotiated fares • Strong team contribution and willingness to work hard to achieve team objectives • Results-driven, enthusiastic, motivated self-starter • Strong CRM and computer skills, with capacity to learn new systems • Amadeus or airline GDS experience a plus • Ability to thrive in change while maintaining consistency in a fast-paced environment • Solid written and oral communication skills • Applicants should be in the Eastern or Central time zones of the United States • Must complete an online application, including work experience section, and attach a resume and cover letter
