📋 Description

• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and predictive modeling to provide actionable insights and strategic direction • Analyze, manipulate and process large data sets • Develop predictive and machine learning models from structured and unstructured data • Identify methods for continuous and automated statistical testing to enhance deployed model predictability • Apply feature selection algorithms and sampling techniques • Compare models using statistical performance metrics • Create graphs, charts and visualizations to convey analytical results • Present mathematical modeling and data analysis results orally or in writing to stakeholders • Identify business problems, objectives, relationships, trends and factors affecting research results • Propose solutions to business problems using data analysis results • Test, validate and reformulate models for accurate prediction • Write functions or applications to conduct analyses • Partner with machine learning engineers to deploy applicable models • Sequence project steps, estimate timelines and communicate them to the project manager • Advise project teams on application improvements for enhanced predictive and prescriptive models • Develop and evangelize statistical or behavioral modeling best practices • Drive collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on the internal data platform • Mentor and train associate data scientists

🎯 Requirements

• 3 years of experience working with large data sets in Hadoop, AWS, Azure or GCP environments • 3 years of experience with statistical and data mining tools and methods • 3 years of experience with supervised models, including regression and neural networks, and unsupervised techniques, including clustering, PCA and SVMs • 3 years of experience working with SQL • 3 years of experience in Python and at least one strongly typed language, such as C++ or Java • 3 years of experience with statistical packages • 3 years of experience providing predictive and prescriptive analytics in a business setting • Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field or equivalent experience • Advanced understanding of data visualization libraries • Advanced understanding of statistical methodologies for modeling and business analytics
