📋 Description

• Analyze Florida's early literacy ecosystem and recommend where and how Room to Read should build partnerships and expand its work • Conduct desk research, environmental scans, organization and initiative mapping, stakeholder interviews, gap and opportunity assessments, and partner analysis • Examine statewide demographic, socioeconomic, educational, and literacy data and major trends • Research literacy programs, early childhood and family literacy, out-of-school programs, book access, reading promotion, and literacy campaigns • Analyze education systems, state agencies, school districts, regional service organizations, curriculum priorities, professional learning networks, and district reading initiatives • Research library systems, regional consortia, community literacy hubs, book distribution networks, and literacy outreach programs • Identify potential nonprofit, community, higher education, government, funder, national organization, and corporate partners • Assess regional assets, collaborative networks, funding opportunities, service gaps, geographic coverage, and expansion opportunities • Develop strategic options, priority partners and communities, pilot opportunities, implementation considerations, and engagement strategies • Refine the methodology and workplan with Room to Read at engagement start • Deliver a final landscape analysis report, searchable partner database, ecosystem map, Strategic Partner Engagement Plan, and presentation of findings • Provide all deliverables in editable formats and coordinate reviews against the agreed scope and workplan

🎯 Requirements

• Experience conducting landscape analyses, environmental scans, or comparable independent research using document review, online research, data analysis, and stakeholder interviews • Knowledge of early literacy, family literacy, school readiness, K-3 education, book access, or related initiatives • Knowledge of Florida's education and literacy landscape, gained through residence or substantial professional experience in the state • Experience identifying and assessing nonprofits, educational institutions, libraries, government agencies, funders, and community partners • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and turn it into clear findings and practical recommendations • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality reports and presentations on schedule • Current CV showing relevant experience • Technical proposal of no more than five pages, including proposed approach, methodology, data sources, workplan, milestones, level of effort, and fixed fee • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided • Must adhere to Room to Read’s Child Protection Policy, Child Protection Code of Conduct, and PSEA Policy
