📋 Description

• Write, test, and deploy accurate and resilient software solutions • Understand customer problems to develop effective solutions • Collaborate with teammates to share and improve work • Communicate and document work to help others learn • Support systems in production and resolve customer-impacting incidents and issues • Suggest code and process improvements to increase team effectiveness • Build and scale core platforms powering Root’s independent partner agents • Enable partner agents to write, manage, and retain insurance policies • Collaborate with Design, Product, and other non-technical stakeholders to implement user experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 4-8 years as a software engineer • Experience with React and JavaScript • Experience with a high-level object-oriented programming language • Experience modifying, maintaining, and consuming APIs • Eagerness to work closely with your team in a collaborative environment • Curiosity in clearly defining the customer problem that needs to be solved • Excellent communication skills with engineering colleagues and team stakeholders • Experience with Ruby on Rails (bonus) • Experience with TypeScript (bonus) • Experience with server-driven UI (bonus) • Experience creating and maintaining integration tests (bonus) • Experience with system monitoring and observability tools, such as Datadog (bonus) • Must be on camera for virtual interviews
