📋 Description

• Supervise financial support services employees to ensure quality service delivery and achievement of client and performance goals • Supervise staffing and workflow volumes and allocate staffing resources by shift or service line • Balance billing workloads • Manage employee lifecycle activities including interviewing, onboarding, training, development, succession planning, and off-boarding • Monitor client inventory balances and ensure timely billing and accounts receivable follow-up • Ensure workflow compliance from proforma creation through invoice collection, including reviews and approvals • Serve as initial point of contact for team members and resolve daily questions and concerns • Respond to customer inquiries, communicate issues and proposed solutions, and resolve escalations • Communicate with the law firm regarding aged balances and escalate problem accounts • Maintain knowledge of client billing and payment terms, discounts, and preferences • Execute administrative reports and production-related processes • Support manager with P&L activities and manage overtime and time-off impacts • Ensure e-billed invoices are transferred to the e-billing vendor timely • Enforce company and client policies, SLAs, and quality standards • Create development plans and challenging assignments with the manager • Set goals, identify priorities, and provide ongoing performance feedback • Support monthly Client Service Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews • Foster cross-training and teamwork to optimize client service delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline required; commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of education • Minimum 5 years of billing experience in a law firm or professional organization required; 6+ years preferred • Minimum 3 years supervising all or part of the billing function in a professional services environment preferred • Exemplary customer service skills • Excellent verbal, written, leadership, and interpersonal skills • Proficiency with 3E, Elite, or Aderant and an industry-standard collection software tool • Proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, and formulas • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint • Familiarity with legal terminology and legal document formats • Ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Ability to establish team collaboration and take ownership of assignments and projects • Strong attention to detail • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
